SELF DEFENSE CLASSES

Are you ready? At the Ready’s self-defense class is designed to be easy to remember and uncomplicated to perform. Each class starts with the physical and mental effects of stress on your body and how to overcome those responses to better defend yourself. Sgt. Shovein will explain the reasoning behind each self-defense technique and demonstrate its action. You will be able to practice these techniques with a partner. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy movement and clean, non-skid shoes, such as sneakers. Classes are 60 – 90 minutes in length and have a maximum capacity of 20 adults. Minimum age: 12. Cost: Based on class size, or private lesson with you and a partner. Cancellation deadline for a full refund: 2 days before the class date.

FAQ

Our current self-defense class is meant to be a beginners class.  It will involve some lecture and mindset ideas, it will then transition to hands on training with a partner to learn and practice techniques.  Classes are kept small to keep an eye on detail and a safe pace and environment for everyone.

We recommend comfortable shoes and clothing you can move in.  No weapons of any type are allowed, we recommend bringing a bottle of water or hydrating beverage (no alcohol).

As this is intended as a beginners course, no previous experience is necessary.  We often ask if anyone has previous experience or training and encourage the sharing of experience if appropriate.
